TIME: Noon-9pm on the 10th, 9-5 on the 11th
LOCATION: Fairfield, UT
This course is an intense and comprehensive course of instruction in the use of the shotgun for self defense situations. It is NOT for novice shooters. You must already possess some level of skill with your shotgun in order to attend.
Course topics will include:
- Building clearances
- Breaching locks and hinges
- Use of “specialty ammo”
- Shooting from unusual positions & while injured
- Shooting from various forms of cover
- Shooting on the move ‘HOT’ rescues
- Low light shooting
- Long gun retention
- Transition drills
- Verbal/Non Verbal communications with partners
- Treatment of gun shot wounds
Course Instructors – Nationally certified NRA LE Patrol Rifle Instructors, Utah POST and/or local SWAT Instructors.
Equipment needed – Any multi-shot shotgun with a sling, handgun and holster, minimum of 3 magazines for pistol. Bring 500 rounds of TRAP ammo for the shotgun and 200 rounds for handgun, Plus 25 rounds of buckshot and 25 slugs. Bring a good flashlight and/or weapon light, knee and elbow pads.
